In this video, A.B.L.E. Teaching Artist Lawrence and founding ensemble member Rachel show you how to make a SHEKERE. A shekere is a percussion instrument, traditionally made from hollowed out gourds. We'll make ours from items you can find in your kitchen. Use your Shekere in the Anthology story Mavis and the Missing Musical Mayor .
